Sam Willoughby (BMX)

Willoughby won two elite BMX world titles in the space of a week at the world championships in The Netherlands in July. Days after winning the men's time trial, he backed it up by winning the men's race to claim gold in the event for the second time in his career. He dedicated the win to his girlfriend's late mother who lost her battle with cancer this year.




Alex Edmondson (Cycling)

Edmondson became a two-time senior world champion on the track in Colombia in March when he was part of Australia's gold medal winning team pursuit and then claimed the individual pursuit as well. He also won a gold and silver medal at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow in July.




Annette Edmondson (Cycling)

Edmondson produced an amazing ride to win gold in the women's scratch race on the track at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, after claiming bronze medals in the omnium and team pursuit at the world titles in March.




Anna Meares (Cycling)

Meares won gold in her pet event the 500m time trial at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games which followed a silver medal in the keirin at the world championships in Colombia.




Jack Bobridge (Cycling)

Bobridge returned to track cycling with a vengeance by helping Australia's team pursuit dominate the final against England at the Commonwealth Games where he walked away with two gold medals including the individual pursuit as well.




Jessica Trengove (Athletics)

Trengrove produced one of the most memorable moments of Australia's Commonwealth Games campaign when she won a bronze medal in PB time of 2hrs 30mins. Running just her fifth ever marathon, Trengrove was fifth with 3km to go but powered home to claim a medal..




Stephanie Morton (Cycling)

Morton undoubtedly announced her arrival on the international stage by dethroning her superstar teammate Anna Meares in the women's sprint at the Commonwealth Games. She also won a silver medal in the 500m time trial to go with her gold medal in Glasgow.




Luke Davison (Cycling)

Davison was part of Australia's team pursuit cycling team which won a gold medal at both the world championships in Colombia and Commonwealth Games in Glasgow.




Olympia Aldersey (Rowing)

Aldersey teamed with Sally Kehoe to win gold for Australia in the women's double sculls at the senior world cup in France in June and were crowned overall winners for the world cup series. The pair also won a bronze medal in the event at the world championships.




Matthew Glaetzer (Cycling)

Glaetzer showed huge courage to bounce back from a disappointing men's sprint at the Commonwealth Games in Glasgow to win a gold medal in the keirin which was his biggest individual result at international level.
