Every dollar makes a difference.

Since its inception in 1933, the Sunday Mail Blanket Appeal has been raising monies to provide blankets to charitable organisations, who then distribute them to families and individuals in need.

Angela Condous, Patron of The Advertiser Foundation says, "The requests for blankets this year has been overwhelming and by far the greatest we have received. It is not only the homeless that require assistance but also families who are also really struggling with cost of living pressures".

The appeal could not continue to provide and distribute such vast quantities of blankets, if it was not for the help of our major sponsors:

  • Peter Cochrane Transport for distributing all the blankets
  • Rotary Club of Adelaide for the convenient option to donate via their secure online system

Our target in 2015 is to raise $60,000 which will allow us to distribute over 2000 new woollen blankets, purchased from Creswich Woollen Mill.
